Critically
acclaimed and award winning London musical, The Book of Mormon has won various
prestigious awards such as Olivier and Tony award. The booking period of the
show has been extended to 12th December 2015 at the magnificent
Prince of Wales Theatre London.
On 21st
March 2013, The Book of Mormon made its debut after previews from 25th
February. The show has enjoyed huge praise and appreciation for its original
concept and polished production. Various journals also stated, “Cleverly
written...enormously enjoyable" (Londontheatre.co.uk); "Decadent and
self-indulgent musical" (Telegraph); "mildly amusing"
(Guardian); "Loved it" (Independent).”
The current
stars of the London musical are Nic Rouleau as Elder Price and Brian Sears as
Elder Cunningham, alongside Alexia Khadime as Nablulungi, Stephen Ashfield as
Moroni / Elder Mckinley, and Chris Jarman as The General.
The Book of
Mormon revolve around a pair of mismatched Mormon boys who have been sent on a
mission to distant place which is far
from Salt Lake City. The South Park team penned, whereas book, music and lyrics
by Trey Parker, Robert Lopez and Matt Stone. Casey Nicholaw and Trey Parker’s
superb direction and designed by Scott Pask, lighting by Brian MacDevitt,
choreography by Casey Nicholaw, costumes by Ann Roth, sound by Brian Ronan.
The blockbuster
show, The Book of Mormon has nominated for six Olivier awards comprises of Best
Choreography, Best Actor in a Musical (Gavin Creel) and Best New Musical.
