Tina: The Turner
London Westend is all set to
greet Phyllida Lloyd of Mamma Mia! fame’s new directorial venture, Tine: The
Turner at the Aldwych Theatre! The world premiere of the spectacular production
will present the dazzling new musical on February 2018. Catch the scintillating
saga of the world’s legendary rock ‘n’ roll artists, Tina Turner, along with a
back catalogue of her greatest hits.
The rock star’s started with
humble beginnings in Tennessee and went on becoming a world-famous superstar.
With an amazing career graph which spanned more than half a century, the
legendary star first rose to fame during the 1960’s, alongside partner and
then-husband Ike Turner. Both of them went on becoming hugely popular for their
live performances as well as chartbusting musical songs such as “It’s Gonna
Work Out Fine”.
The legendary rock star
established her international solo career with 1984 album Private Dancer and
won three Grammy Awards. She went on delivering hit after hit and awarded with
eight prestigious Grammys. In the year 1991, she was introduced to the Rock and
Roll Hall of Fame.
Catch the life story of one of
the greatest stars of all time against the backdrop of some of her most famous
songs, including “What’s Love Got to Do With It”, “Proud Mary”, “River Deep
Mountain High” and “Simply the Best”. Under the superb direction of Phyllida
Lloyd, whereas written by Olivier Award-winner Katori Hall of The Mountaintop
fame with Frank Ketelaar and Kees Prins, Tina: The Turner is a complete mesmerizing
musical experience for all. Other creative members of the show are
choreographer Anthony van Laast and designer Mark Thompson, with lighting
design by Bruno Poet and sound design by Nevin Steinberg.

the heart-warming story of the legendary performer, Tina begins. With previews
at the Aldwych Theatre on March 21st and is booking until June 16th 2018, whereas
an official opening on April 17th 2018, the show is a complete treat for all.
