Nutcracker
Nutcracker is a brand new adventurous and magical saga of Christmas
season at London Coliseum! Adapted from the story authored by ETA Hoffman,
whereas the ballet version is renowned for its heart touching orchestral
compositions penned by Tchaikovsky is a complete treat for the theatre lovers.
English National Opera’s orchestra will perform at the score to the English
National Ballet’s production.
The story of Nutcracker is set during an enchanted Christmas Eve in
Edwardian London. There is a family party in full swing under a candle lit
tree. The group of children is led by Clara and her younger brother Freddie and
they are full of festive fun.
Children’s godfather, Herr
Drosseimeyer who is an eccentric and a talented toymaker, dazzled them with
some of his wonderful and newest creations. He also gifted Clara a handmade nutcracker
doll. Freddie become jealous of Clara and breaks the jaw of doll. Clara was
very disappointed.
At the midnight, after the end of party, Clara finds that she wakes
up under a colossal Christmas tree, which is at an unknown destination. The
cold, icy and snowy land is full of new surprises for her, as life-sized mice
running past her with weapons.
The beautiful brand new show, Nutcracker is a perfect Christmas
treat by London Westend and enjoyed by people of all age groups. The show is
recommended for 7+ kids and run for two hours.
