Cats

For a limited season of 12 weeks, the iconic musical, Cats is all set to mark its return to London Westend! Enjoy Andrew Lloyd Webber’s blockbuster musical at the magnificent London Palladium Theatre which stars ex-Pussy Cat Doll’s singer Nicole Scherzinger. The sensational London show is based on some of the wonderful collections of renowned poet, T S Elliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats.

The brand new London musical, Cats is the story of one night of the year, when a tribe of cats known as Jellicles unites for a Jellicle ball. Old Deuteronomy makes the selection of Jellicle Choice and will decide who will be send to Heaviside Layer to be reborn.

The performers of the stunning musical will dance throughout the show. Moreover, they will move in feline style. Every member of the show has its own character and viewers will keep on enjoying different members of cat community. Some of the cat community members are Grizabella: The Glamour Cat, The Rum Tum Tugger, and Old Gumble Cat.

In the year 1981, the show made its debut and was directed by Trevor Nunn. Elaine Page starred in the original production, whereas Gillian Lynn was the associate director/choreographer. Cats went on winning various prestigious awards such as Oivier and Tony awards for Best Musical. At the New London Theatre, the original production ran for two decades and was a huge success.

On the other hand, Broadway production won seven Tony awards and enjoyed run for 18 years. In the role of Grizabella the Glamour Cat, Nicole Scherzinger is all set to make its debut. During the second half of the show, she sings the iconic song, Memory. The two hours and thirty minutes show is recommended for 5+ kids.
