show, Evita which is all set to make its remarkable debut at the Phoenix
Theatre! Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s legendary musical is a complete
treat for theatre lovers. The show features Emma Hatton in the titular role
which is presented by Bill Kenwright. The
spectacular production also enjoyed an acclaimed UK tour. The blockbuster
London show is running with packed houses at the Phoenix Theatre for a limited
summer season.
The show enjoyed successful run at the Dominion Theatre London
West End in the year 2014. The popular multi-award winning musical has enjoyed
multiple revivals. The award winning show, Evita is the heart touching saga of
Eva Perón, who is a wife of former dictator Juan Perón. From humble beginnings
to becoming a leader of the Argentine people and also stated as the ‘spiritual
leader of the nation’, the award winning musical beautifully depicts the
journey of Eva.
Some of the key highlights of the
award winning London show is show-stopping score from Andrew Lloyd Webber and
Tim Rice such as “You Must Love Me”, “Another Suitcase in Another Hall” and the
unforgettable “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina”. Sterling performances from the lead
actors make the show a worth while experience. The lead role of Eva Peron is
portrayed by Wicked’s Emma Hatton. She is also renowned for some great
productions such as We Will Rock You and Dreamboats and Petticoats.
The role of Che is essayed by
Gian Marco Schiaretti who has also made his West End debut. Other cast members are
Oscar Balmaseda, Sarah O'Connor, George Arvidson, Lewis Barnshaw, Jessica
Ellen, Callum Fitzgerald, Kellie Gnauck, Dominic Adam Griffin, Joe McCourt,
Jude Neill, Jordan Oliver, Chrissie Perkins, Oliver Slade, Matias Stegmann and
Yuval Zoref.Under the spectacular production of Kenwright renowned for works
like Dreamboats and Petticoats, The Wizard of Oz, Evita is a complete delight
to watch. The show is directed by Kenwright and Bob Tomson, whereas choreographed
by Bill Deamer of Top Hat fame. The show
is designed by Matthew Wright and sound design by Dan Samson, whereas orchestrations
by Lloyd Webber and David Cullen.
Evita is certainly a complete theatrical
treat for a limited 12 week season at the Phoenix Theatre from August 2nd to
October 14th 2017. The previews of the show begins from July 28th 2017.
