the superb direction of the Academy Award winner Sam Mendes. The must watch
London musical is a complete delight for the theatre lovers, as the show has
lots to cater to its audience.
The mesmerizing show has an
immense gripping effect on the viewers. The story of Charlie and the Chocolate
Factory revolves around a boy Charlie who wins a golden ticket to the amazing
world of Wonka Chocolate Factory. He has an opportunity to enjoy a remarkable
feast of sweets. However, behind the sugary corridors and the stunning edible
delights, the five lucky winners find something strange.
The brilliant story has
captivated the whole world from the last five decades and has been enlivened up
with the music of Marc Shaiman. Beautiful lyrics penned by Scott Wittman and
Marc Shaiman make the songs lively on stage. Scintillating set and costume
designs by the Mamma Mia and One Man Two Guvnors famed Mark Thompson catches
the eye balls of audience.
Another major highlight is the
superb choreography by Peter Darling, the Billy Elliot and Matilda The Musical
famed choreographer. The sterling performances of the lead actors surely grip
the audience tightly. The four times Olivier nominated actor/director Douglas
Hodge playing the role of Willie Wonka. In broadway, he is currently essaying
the role of Cyrano de Bergerac. He has won several prestigious awards such as
Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for his stunning Broadway
debut in La Cage Aux Folles.
In London Westend, he has won
Olivier for the same performance. Some of his popular movies are Vanity Fair,
Robin Hood and Diana. In the upcoming movie, Diana, he is playing the role of
Butler to Diana, Paul Burell. He is certainly an actor to watch out for. Other
