The magnificent Lyceum Theatre is one of the largest theatres of London with an astounding occupancy of 2100. The seating of the theatre is spread across three levels. Located in the popular City of Westminster, London, the theatre is existing in its current location from the year 1765. In the year 1834, the first theatre made its debut at the current site. Notable architect Samuel Beazley's designs have been the major highlights of this theatre. During the latter part of the 18th century, some of the renowned actors such as David Garrick and Charles Didbin had become the significant part of Lyceum Theatre and used to entertained the theatre lovers with their scintillating performances. From 1794 to 1809, Lyceum Theatre London acted as a venue for Philip Ashely's circus, as his amphitheatre was destroyed due to fire. The venue also served the purpose of chapel, concert room etc. In the year 1802, the first London exhibition of Madam Tussaud's wax works have been hosted here. The venue also acted as a home for Sublime Society of Beef Steaks and was established by the owner Henry Rich.
