With the spectacular productions of Gilbert and Sullivan’s comic operas, Shaftesbury theatre found huge success. In the year 1919, they started and went on till the 20s. In the year 1942, these comic operas made a return for the delight of theatre lovers. The grade II listed building has some great musical shows such as Hairspray and Flashdance the Musical!
